About Annabel Thomas
With over 15 years of experience, I work for private clients, investors and hospitality projects.
Before founding SMAT Architecture, I spent several years with an international design company. There I learned to plan a space to the millimetre, to choose materials for how they age, and to resolve technical issues before work begins.
I work with a trusted network of craftsmen, joiners, contractors and engineering firms. For clients living abroad, I keep every project clear and reassuring, with regular updates from start to finish.

A pied-à-terre for owners living abroad, fully renovated. Restructured volumes, built-in storage and bespoke joinery make the most of every square metre, with natural stone, solid wood and concealed lighting.

Montorgueil
Apartment · Paris 2nd · 100 m²
A former garment workshop with blocked openings and no natural light. The project brought light back and reorganised the plan around an open kitchen. In the windowless basement, a master suite with its own shower room.

Cannes
Apartment · Cannes · 85 m²
Two apartments in an old building merged into one, both a pied-à-terre and a high-end rental. The condition of the structure required full demolition and a new layout. Concrete, natural stone and solid wood.
